Uncle Russ' Fish Story

As with most “Fish Stories” it all began when I was young boy. Remembering days at my great grandparents’ house on the Eastern Shore in Onancock, VA. They lived about 4 houses down from the river dock. The local crabber, Tommy, was their neighbor and owned the local crabhouse in the middle of that river. As a youngin, I have so many memories sittin on the dock fishin, chattin, and crabbin as all the old guys hauled in their daily catch and worked on their boats by the railway.
Later on, I spent my days fishin with my dad at the piers on Little Creek Amphibious Base during his Navy Reserve weekends. It has always been relaxing being around boats, water, and the wonders of the sea. As time passed the excitement of food and restaurants occupied my mind and time. After 1988, I joined The American Culinary Federation, and began their apprentice program. After graduation, the local experience took me through various kitchens and opportunities. This has brought me back to my happy place…. Boats, Rivers, and Seafood.
It has been a pleasure to provide the finest sea offerings our waterways have to offer through our store, farmers markets, and catering.
